Product Overview
POV shooters get a compact action camera here, the HERO11 Black Mini, delivering the core HERO11 Black performance in a smaller body. It records 5.3K60, the highest resolution available, with Emmy Award-winning HyperSmooth 5.0 stabilization. One-button operation keeps it simple, while Pro Controls stay on hand for anyone who wants to tweak settings.
POV use with helmet and body mounts drives the build. Its small size and low weight stay comfortable during mountain biking, skiing, and skating. A curved adhesive mount and mounting buckle add versatile options. Waterproofing is present, though the exact depth rating is not specified in the details provided.

Design and Build Quality
Smaller and lighter than the standard HERO11 Black, the Mini sits less obtrusively on a helmet or body. Simplicity leads the design. A single shutter button powers it on and starts recording right away. Easy Controls mode fits quick captures. Pro Controls open up resolution, frame rate, digital lenses, and image quality.
A carrying case handles protection and transport. The curved adhesive mount suits curved surfaces like helmets. A mounting buckle with thumb screw locks it down securely. A USB-C cable covers charging and data transfer. Build is rugged and waterproof, but confirm the exact depth rating on the product listing.
Performance in Everyday Use
The Mini delivers 5.3K video, the highest resolution on a GoPro. That footage suits video and also yields stills up to 24.7MP through the GoPro Quik app or other editing software. Tap to grab a frame, then save it as a shareable photo.
HyperSmooth 5.0 stabilization stands out, winner of a 2021 Emmy for in-camera sensor and software stabilization. It brings Horizon Lock, better stabilization for 4:3 footage, and AutoBoost for maximum stabilization with minimal cropping. Shaky conditions like biking, skiing, or chasing pets still come out smooth.
Who Should Buy It

Alternatives Worth a Look
Action enthusiasts wanting flagship video in a compact, easy package have an excellent option here. Single-button operation and a small body make it ideal for helmet and body mounts. HyperSmooth 5.0 stabilization keeps footage smooth on any adventure. Grabbing 24.7MP photos from video is a nice bonus. Two catches: no touchscreen or front display, and the exact waterproof depth is not specified. For immersive POV footage without bulk, it is a great tool.
