Product Overview
A compact 1TB external SSD for photographers, videographers, and professionals who need fast storage in the field. SanDisk rates read speeds up to 1050MB/s and write speeds up to 1000MB/s. NVMe technology drives it, connecting over USB-C with USB 3.2 Gen 2 support. Large 4K video and RAW files move easily.
This updated model adds IP65 water and dust resistance and survives drops from up to 3 meters. A rugged companion for outdoor shoots, then. Password protection with 256-bit AES hardware encryption keeps data secure. The SanDisk Memory Zone app manages files and frees up space automatically.

Design and Build Quality
A rugged design leads, with a carabiner loop for clipping to bags or belts. The rubberized exterior delivers a secure grip and shock absorption. IP65 rating guards against water jets and dust ingress, while 3-meter drop protection handles accidental falls.
Compact and lightweight, it slips into a pocket easily. The USB-C port is built into the drive, and a cable is included. Capacity comes in at 1TB, ample for most users. Build feels solid, though the rubber coating may attract dust and lint over time.
Performance in Everyday Use
Owners report read speeds up to 1050MB/s and write speeds up to 1000MB/s on a compatible USB 3.2 Gen 2 port. Those speeds suit transferring large video files or backing up photo libraries quickly. Connect to a computer limited to USB 3.0 or USB 2.0, and the drive falls back to slower speeds.
Operation stays relatively cool, and the built-in encryption does not noticeably slow the drive. The SanDisk Memory Zone app helps automate file management. For most users, everyday performance lands more than adequate.
Who Should Buy It
- Users who need a drive with a built-in card reader or wireless connectivity.
- Full speed only on USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports Software is basic and may not be essential Rubber coating may attract dust No hardware write-protect switch

Alternatives Worth a Look
A reliable, fast, and rugged storage option for creators who move large files quickly and safely. Its IP65 rating and drop protection make it a strong pick for outdoor or travel use. The encryption adds a layer of security, though the software stays basic. One catch: full speed needs a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port, and the drive may be less compelling if that level of ruggedness is not required.
