Design and Build Quality
A robust build holds smartphones securely. The orthogonal three-axis structure, a hallmark of professional gimbals, keeps stability across every axis. Controls stay intuitive, and the built-in fill light adjusts on the gimbal itself, sparing extra equipment.
An included tripod adds versatility for static shots or time-lapses. The USB Type-C cable is standard for modern devices, keeping charging simple. Note that the magnetic fill light comes separately, so you buy it if you want that feature.
Performance in Everyday Use
On stabilization, the Smooth 5S AI delivers pro-level steadiness. Its advanced algorithm smooths shakes and jitters for professional-looking footage. The 360 rotation stands out, enabling inception-style spins without app limits.
A 26-hour battery impresses, letting you shoot all day without recharging worries. The built-in fill light helps, though its brightness adjusts manually. Performance stays strong for a smartphone gimbal, even if it misses some advanced AI tracking found elsewhere.
